In 2022, which marked the fiftieth anniversary of the author's father (Irving Schiffer's) passing at age 47, she decided to honor him by gathering his short lifetime of creative output. Schiffer was notable for a TV screenplay that had some big star power back in the 1950s...but there is much more. Little did the author realize the breadth and diversity of her father's incredible body of work, as here, for the first time, is a collection that includes an in-depth discussion of his paintings, short stories, magazine articles, photos, several unpublished manuscripts and one traditionally published book, line drawings for a detective agency newsletter, songs worthy of The Great American Songbook, and even cartoons. While not complete (he gave away or sold some paintings there are no records of), it is a healthy and appreciable account of a beautiful, artistic soul who was her father.
